The HTC Hero Review
The HTC Hero with Google™ is the first Android phone from Sprint and is actually considered the best Android phone by critics in the market at this moment. The HTC Hero phone has a home screen that allows its user to multitask. It also has an amazing camera at 5-megapixels for those who like taking random pictures. It also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack for those who would like to be entertained. At $179, HTC Hero definitely is worth it because of the Microsoft Exchange support and its over-all snappy presentation.
When Hero was first released in Europe, there were a lot of complaints regarding how boxy the chin of this gadget is, which is why the US market decided to replace it with a bottom that is rounded and has a silver lining. Over all, the HTC Hero™ with Google™ is color (smoky) gray. The phone also has a touch screen LCD that is as big as 3.2 inches with 480 x 320-pixels. Some people are apprehensive with touch screens because they think that the response is delayed. However, you do not have to worry about that with Hero because it is accurate and sensitive with the user’s touch. When you compare HTC Hero with myTouch 3G on T-Mobile, Hero is of the same size, which is 4.4 x 2.2 x 0.6. However, HTC Hero is a little on the heavy side with 4.6 ounces compared with the 4.1 ounces of myTouch 3G on T-Mobile. If you do not want to use the touch screen, you can definitely use the trackball and navigate through the menu (Home, Search, Menu, Send, Receive, etc.), which is found below the screen. As mentioned above, Hero also has a camera at 5-megapixels but it doesn’t have flash making it unable to take good pictures at night or when there are no bright lights around.
