Android Devices: The Motorola Cliq
Best Feature - The streamlined design which features a well-lit display with user-friendly keyboard and navigation are what separates the Motorola Cliq from the competition. With tons of great functions and abilities added to this model, Motorola really went over the top with some excellent improvements and tweaks to the user interface module.
Worst Feature - Motorola did not include a camera flash, basic organizational features or a file manager in the Cliq. Another issue is that the memory card slot of the Cliq is accessed by removing the battery cover, and on top of that, apps can only be stored on the device's integrated memory - not on the card itself. Aside from these issues, there were problems with the phone quality and there were intermittent issues with the speed of the handset.
Conclusion - The design and improvements to the user interface coupled with all the features included in the Motorola Cliq definitely makes it an asset to the Android operating system movement. There were some performance issues such as the sometimes overwhelming "MotoBlur" interface, however the pros definitely outweigh the cons in this latest release from Motorola.

Google's Android really smashes the competition with all it has to offer, and the Motorola Cliq MB200, exclusively available through T-Mobile, proves it. High points such as the well-spaced keyboard and simple structured design, the Motorola Cliq is a good-looking yet powerful and advanced device made even more useful through the customizable tools available with Android. While it's not the best Android phone on the market today or even in the future, the Motorola Cliq offers new features in a slick design that will definitely bring more users on board with the Android operating system. And, with Motorola getting on board with Android, it is likely that even more brands will begin making Android devices.
It is exciting to have a company like Motorola working with Android OS technology - you can see their innovation at work in the new MotoBlur interface, which allows you to sync all of your social media accounts, e-mail and contacts in an instant. A word of caution, however - it is awesome to have all of your data, contacts and information all in one spot, but it can be a lot to take in. Also, because of all the features it offers, the Motorola Cliq's performance is slowed and has obvious limitations.
But even with the few negatives we've mentioned, the features definitely make the Motorola Cliq the clear winner over the HTC Hero from Sprint and the MyTouch 3G and G1 devices from T-Mobile. You can find the Motorola Cliq at your local T-Mobile store or online beginning November 2, 2009 beginning at just $199 with a T-Mobile service agreement.
