BlackBerry® 8820
The problem that most BlackBerry users see in other BlackBerry phones is its lack of Wi-Fi and so BlackBerry now introduces its first cell phone unit that offers wireless internet. The BlackBerry® 8820 has an 802.11 capacity when it comes to connecting to Wi-Fi. However, when you compare this feature with other cell phone units like the VoIP, it isn’t exactly amazing but it is still good news for those who are BlackBerry lovers.
When it comes to its outside appearance, this unit is somehow like its predecessor. The only difference is that there is a Wi-Fi logo at the top right corner of the phone. It has a 2.4 inch LCD display. Compared with the BlackBerry Curve, the 8820 is a lot heavier than 3.9 ounces. It is also larger than the Curve. However, even it is larger and heavier; the 8820 is still light with 4.7 ounces in weight. The 8820 also has a slim profile at 0.6 inches. Overall, this BlackBerry cell phone unit is 2.6 x 4.5 x 0.6 inches in size and 4.7 ounces in weight. Like any other BlackBerry cell phone units, the 8820 has a keyboard that is similar to that of a computer and it also has a trackball that you can use for navigating.
Other features of the BlackBerry® 8820 are:
• The battery is included and it is 1400 mAh Lion. The phone’s battery has the capacity of 5 hours talk time.
• The charger is also included.
• There is a USB cable for transferring files to and from the computer.
• It also has a Holster.
• You can enjoy your saved music downloads with its hands-free stereo or using the stereo Bluetooth.
• Like the other BlackBerry phones, this has instant messaging, text messaging, e-mail, games, ring tones and mobile calling.
